God’s earth is so full of His beauty that even ordinary grass suddenly finds itself crowned with it. This spread of little purple flowers just had to force its way up and out of the ground — right in the midst of my yard — to give a colorful tribute to the Creator.
Even if I have to make it myself, I intend to have Spring right now!!!

Lee, over at Birdwatching Adventures Plus, asked me what I was going to do to entertain my blogging colleagues after the 31-day “Daily Grind Coffee Quotes.” Well, here it is — only this new series will last only 8 days. It’s a series of pictures and thoughts in commemoration of one of our best-loved (and somewhat overlooked) holidays here in the States: Thanksgiving. I don’t guarantee anything particular for this series — maybe some serious, maybe some hilarious, maybe even some stupid. I might even throw in a couple of my Thanksgiving poems from past years. I’m not an avid bridge photographer, but I do love to photograph rivers. And even though the bridge does not show in this picture, there is one here. I was standing on it when I made this shot. So I figure it counts.
