Slideshow Featuring Photographs by Terry Valley

This post is my first experiment with the slideshow apparatus. I decided it would be a good time to try to feature several more photos by Terry Valley, a good friend and professional photographer from Wisconsin.  It’s sweet of him to allow me to use his photos to do this experiment.  I hope it turns out well.  I hope you enjoy Terry’s work and God’s creation.
(Special thanks to Lucid Gypsy for insisting I could do this.)

    1. Yes, even if I do say so myself, I think it looks really good. I wanted the pictures to show up larger, but the tutorial said that there was no way to adjust the size. Evidently their system makes the decision based on the size of that particular theme’s layout. But I think the photographer will be pleased with it.

As far as what else there is to learn, I can tell you just from the past three years of my life that there is ALWAYS something else. By the time I’ve mastered one thing and feel good about myself for having done so — and get to the place I really enjoy using it — something has changed again and there’s more technology out there that no one had heard about last year! But — it keeps me young.

Thanks for all your encouragement. I’m on a roll now. I’ve got to go dig up more pictures to play with. Hope you have a great day.

  1. And a good job you have done, very well done, oh by the way! the pictures are pretty good as well.. thanks 😉 PS have replied to your requests although late,, thanks for even thinking of me..

    1. Thank you so much, Gerry. I know what you mean about the order. And these technological apparatuses (or is that apparatii?) use terminology that means something different from what I mean. Just something as simple as “ascending” and “descending.” To me, if I put them in “ascending” order that means they start from the bottom picture and “ascend” to the top picture. Not so with WordPress. I had to click “descending” to get the show to start with the picture at the bottom of the gallery list and go up. Who knew???

Generally their tutorials are easy to follow, but they worded this in such a way that I thought I had to “save changes” only after all the pictures were uploaded, but that didn’t work. I had to save after each picture individually. There may still be an easier way, but I’m not going to worry about it right now. I feel like a great success just getting to this point. Thanks for all your encouragement.

Hey, don't you dare go away without leaving me a note!
