The cookies “arranged” on this plate are from a generations-old recipe in my father’s family. They are called Hungarian cookies (even though his family is Bulgarian/Russian). These cookies, filled with hickory nut goodies (pecans if hickory nuts are not available), are one of my favorite treats in the whole world. My dad is the only one left in the family who makes the cookies, and this batch was made especially for me on my birthday. MmmmMmmmMmmm!

Aren’t you a lucky girl? Now if you could arrange for your Dad to make some for us too …:)
You mean you don’t know how to bake your favourite cookies – best get learning then! they look lush!
I agree – learn to make them so that you can bake them for your loved ones 🙂
