No Access To WordPress

Dear Readers,

I’m posting this little note to let you know that I suddenly lost access to my WordPress blogs this morning through my main browser. There is no legitimate reason for that fact, and I can still access a partial page through my Firefox browser. That’s how I’m communicating with you right now. But unless I can get the connection restored through my main browser, Chrome, I won’t be able to communicate with all of you here any longer — or on my “Hangin’ Out With God” blog, “Happy Patriot” blog, “Merry Christmas” blog, or “Healing From Jesus” blog.

I have contacted WordPress about the issue. I would have considered the possibility of the problem being in my own browser, except that I got a WordPress page filled with advertisements, and then a WordPress page saying I was suspended from WordPress. What?????

It’s very weird, because I can access the blogs from Firefox. Unfortunately, I can access only a limited section of the pages through Firefox (Some kind of fluke with my computer’s Firefox connection causes that issue, and that’s why I use Chrome.)

But since I cannot see most of the page, I cannot tell what’s showing up and what isn’t.  So I’m not going to try to interact from here — other than sending this message — and I just hope my readers can see this post even if I can’t.

I would appreciate your prayers that WordPress can get the problem fixed. I love and appreciate all of you and will certainly miss you greatly if WP cannot get everything restored.

Blessings on you all,
Sandra

  1. it also happened to me and i panicked as to why my account got suspended.. i tried to sign off, i can’t then after a while i got it going again.. this is really weird.

  2. Sandra,

I think this is only with Chrome. I am able to get to wordpress unimpeded with internet Explorer and through my Windows phone. It seems only to be Chrome related. I was equally dismayed to get the account suspenbded message as i know i did not add anything that violates the terms of service.

  3. Sandra, if you have any free time today between 1pm EST and 3pm EST i’d be available to help you if you would like. I’ve had this problem myself and to be honest you cannot pinpoint a single root cause. In my experience with these problems they’ve come from everything from Broken databases to malicious scripts that have made their way onto your blog.

However, I’d like to also note the fact you’ve been suspended leans more towards the content you’ve placed on your Free site as opposed to a technical issue.

Consider in the future spending $50 a month to run a self hosted wordpress blog that way whatever content you’ve uploaded WordPress doesn’t like doesn’t matter. Best of luck!

    Jesse

  4. Oh no! I also switched back to Internet Explorer from Chrome as it was causing general browsing problems but not specifically with wordpress. Hope its sorted quickly.

Hey, don't you dare go away without leaving me a note!
