    1. Haroseth is an almost pastey mixture that is made of finely chopped apples, nuts, some spices, and wine. It’s one of the elements in the Seder dinner during Passover celebration, and it represents the clay the Hebrew people were forced to use to make the bricks during their slavery in Egypt. This photo is of a huge representation of the seder plate that shows the various elements of the meal.

      My dad and step-mother are ministers as well, and each year during the Passover season they present a program called “Christ in the Passover,” which helps people understand the connection with the Jewish faith, beginning with the deliverance from Egypt and the representation of the Messiah in the entire Passover experience. Many years, there are several church and groups that ask them to come and present the program — which includes an entire Seder meal with explanations of each element and each step in the process. This huge plate hangs on the wall behind the main table during that event.
