Hey, thanks for buying a copy. The first story is the one inspired by your picture, and I wish I could have included your picture as well, but the editor’s decision for this book was no pictures. However, I think about it and see it in my mind every time I read that story.

I understand completely. There have been a few Christmas that I checked a couple of my favorite Christmas books out of the library, but never got time to sit down and read them until AFTER Christmas. But, of course, I tend to do Christmas all year anyway, so that’s okay.

Thank you. It’s the newest book I have on there. I didn’t get very enthused about digital books until this year, and actually the publisher has made a lot of headway getting several of mine on there since that time. So I guess I’m finally a 21st-century author.

Well, I’m sure you’ve read some of these on my blog, but if you’re like me, you enjoy having several Christmas stories all in one place to enjoy. I hope you find it worth the 1.99. I did enjoy doing the stories and rewriting several of them. About 4 of them were originally very, very short pieces in response to some writing challenges on here, but I eventually re-wrote them to be more of a story and didn’t worry about word count.
I still have two complete novels and a novella that have been published in print versions that have not made it to digital format yet. But they may have to wait until next year. I think St. Ellen Press has done a wonderful job of getting so much of my stuff onto the Kindle store in this length of time. And, honestly, the digital books are selling about 5 to 1 over the standard print versions. I’m thinking maybe the two novels that I’m currently working on — that aren’t finished — might be better off to go out as digital books first.
By the way, did I tell you about reading the story of two authors who switched from mainstream publishers and began publishing their own books in 2011 and by 2015 had sold over half a million e-books? And I mean each one of them individually sold over half a million. If they had gotten only $1.00 in royalties for each book, that would average out to be $125,000 a year from e-books alone. Hey, I could live on that!

I should also make a point to say that it’s very sweet of you to be such a faithful reader. It’s people like you who make all the work and struggle to get these books done — and get them “right” — worthwhile.
Oh, it just dawned on me that you may have been talking about buying Jonah’s Song rather than the Christmas book. My answer was focused on the Christmas book. But whichever one you’re buying, thanks — and I hope you enjoy it.

Well, I’m sure you probably read some of the stories when I posted them on here over the past couple of years, but some of them I re-wrote and gave them more body. Of course, I like to read Christmas stories over and over, but some people do not. There’s one Christmas novel that I read every single year, and I never seem to get tired of it. And I often read “A Christmas Carol” repeatedly as well. I’m the same with Christmas movies. Some of them I’ve watched scores of times, but I’ll watch them again this year too.
