OCTOBER DELIGHT

A great big harvest moon is hanging low,
Soon it will be centered overhead.
Right now a golden coin just skimming trees,
‘Twill soon turn brilliant silver white instead.

I’m oh so glad God stopped me in my tracks
And whispered, “Take a look; you’ll be impressed.”
And, yes, indeed I was, and greatly cheered
Because it brought sweet peace where I was stressed.

God does such lovely work on nature’s face.
I am amazed always and cheered to see
How beautiful, how grand His handiwork.
What joy to know it’s all for you and me!
