My high school class at our 45-year reunion last year. A room full of friends who made a difference in my life in so many important ways.

It is amazing that so many people went to the reunion.
Yes, I think there are 57 in the picture, but during the two-day celebration, there were 61 of us together. 22 of the classmates had died. But we had people come in from Oregon, California, Texas, and Florida — as well as closer places. They really made an effort — more so, I think, because so many of us had not been able to attend any earlier reunions. Out of a class of 186 students, that’s not a bad showing for 45 years after the fact.
I suppose I should clarify that the reunion was in Southern Illinois, so having people come from so far away was really touching.
45 years! Very impressive. It’s always so touching to see people getting back together, to catch up and wonder what paths each had taken.
That’s amazing but so sad that so many are lost. I bet you all talked the night away!
