I bought a new sweeper — light-weight.
It sucks dirt up fine, and that’s great.
When dirt canister’s full,
From the unit I pull,
Empty dirt and return in clean state.
Now, I managed to pull the part free;
Emptied dirt and cleaned filter with glee.
But when all was replaced,
Sweeper did about-face,
And spewed out dirty air right at me.
Now, it no longer sucks dirt or lint.
And the owner’s book gives me no hint
Where the parts all belong,
So I can’t fix what’s wrong.
And I’ve wasted the money I spent!
It’s working in reverse! Check it out on YouTube! You’ll definitely find a video telling you how to fix it.
I might check it out. The problem is knowing how to get the parts back together after emptying and cleaning the filter. I could not believe the owner’s manual did not show in what order they should be put in. The only picture in the owner’s manual doesn’t show clearly enough to see what piece is on top, then next, etc. And after I cleaned the filter, I left it all to dry, and got too busy for a couple days to get back to it. So I couldn’t remember exactly how it went. If I had put it all back immediately, I may have been able to get it right. 🙂 🙂 🙂
The manuals are of no help these days. Wherever I’m stuck on any technical issue, I google a how to video and that is almost always the answer.
This is so true. I have tested all kinds of vacuums, and I did sell some for Electrolux years ago. I finally went back to teaching, and this was more money without having to carry heavy boxes and sell vacuums.
