The new poetic form I created last year (Tso’i) is still a challenge for me, but I’m finding it easier and easier to write in that form. This week I created two Tso’i, one for my “Ahyoka” poetry site and one for here. Today’s poem is a celebration of the return of my Mockingbirds to nest in my big Blue Spruce in my front yard. Yay!

It’s been a week of enormous strain and pressure, but the result is a great deal of work completed successfully. I’m relieved, a little bit proud, and very much in need of some R&R. Probably won’t get it, but looking at this picture relaxes me. It makes me want to take a long, deep breath and let it out slowly, then kick back, close my eyes, and just inhale the rich scents of autumn. So I thought I’d just go ahead and share it with you. Some of you might need the refreshing it offers as well.

Not much time to post lately, but I CANNOT ignore such a great picture of coffee and the Smoky Mountains together. Enjoy!

I’m not sure who the host of this challenge is now. The old link doesn’t seem to work, but I can’t find any Six-Word Saturday posts on the new link either. So I’m winging it in the mean time.

God’s earth is so full of His beauty that even ordinary grass suddenly finds itself crowned with it. This spread of little purple flowers just had to force its way up and out of the ground — right in the midst of my yard — to give a colorful tribute to the Creator.
Winter
Is trying hard
To stick around too long.
My daffodils are ’bout to pop:
Hurry!
