Weekly Photo Challenge: Through

This week I’m sharing a photo that was taken by a good friend of mine who is a professional photographer. Terry Valley lives in Wisconsin, and most of his work features various aspects of God’s beautiful creation as seen in that area. This photo is one of my favorites of his and is used with several others in a line of greeting cards called the “God’s Green Earth Collection.”  It was taken in the very early morning, and I thought it was a good example of seeing “through” the stand of trees to that beautiful white horse in the field beyond.

Anyone interested in seeing more of Terry’s work or contacting him about it
is welcome to send me a comment requesting more information.

    1. Another person also mentioned the feeling that it could pass for a unicorn. I think it must be the setting. It almost encourages the expectation of a unicorn rather than just an ordinary – though beautiful – horse. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’ll pass your words along to my friend.

  1. I read and love fantasy books and this fabulous picture could quite well be from a scene. Love the feel of this picture..;)

    1. Yes, that’s something this particular friend has a lot of. He has taken some great photographs of elements in nature that would have been hard for me to get. I’ve been trying to get him to start a blog that would feature his photography, but he still hangs back. I’ll make sure he knows about your compliment. Thank you.

    1. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I will be sure to pass your compliment on to my photographer friend. Your work is so incredible that a compliment from you will go a long way in encouraging him as he moves toward expanding his budding career.

    1. I do too. And I’ll pass your compliments on to my friend, the photographer. He has so many good pictures that I’m thinking about making up a slide show of his stuff. I have tried and tried to get him to set up a blog that will showcase his work, but he just won’t do it. I’m wanting to experiment with the slide show apparatus on here anyway, so I thought those pictures might be a good start. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

      1. Oh, my goodness, Dennis … I can’t believe this! Here we are talking about cows, and I’ve been praising them and sharing how much I love to watch little calves in the field. Then I said one of us should write a poem about them, and this morning, when I opened my e-mail, what do I find at the top? Dennis Lange’s new poem about a calf!!! You probably follow him too, so you will, no doubt see it if you haven’t yet. I just wanted to make sure. And as I told him, what can you say when three poets — miles away from each other — focus on the very same subject in the same 48-hour period? Nothing except to say that great minds really do think alike. You’ll like the his latest effort.
