Well, it’s “Lingering Visions'” fault. I saw her photo for this challenge, and it was so beautiful that I had to stop and gaze at it. That’s when I realized she was talking about Bob and his challenge. I hopped on over to Bob’s place, and the site itself is a work of art and inspiration. I decided to offer my own contribution this week. I call it “Comin’ Round the Bend,” and it shows a most colorful rock formation on top of the Blue Ridge Parkway — in Southeast U. S. It was a very cloudy day, and you can see a rainstorm just starting to move in — which I think adds to the power of the picture. But within minutes, we were enveloped in the storm cloud itself. Hope you enjoy this.

Thanks for visiting and joining in the fun. As an avid motorcyclist I have carved many a turn depicted in your challenge photo. I used to belong to half a dozen motorcycle forums, posting pictures of the roads I travelled. I like the detail you were able to pull out of the cliffs in your photo. Nice job and thanks for contributing and joining in the fun. 🙂
Thanks for the shout out Sandra. Great pic, full of mystery. I love the BR Parkway where it connects close to my home and the Skyline Drive. One day I would like to take it to see the Smokies.
You’re very blessed to live so close to the Smokies. It’s where I want to live, but so far I haven’t been able to talk the Lord into opening up a door for me some work there. I’m still working on it. I wrote that whole series of novels set in the Smokies, and I’m still finishing the 5th book. When I work on it, I FEEL like I’m there, but that’s not quite good enough.
Oh, I don’t live close to the Smokies but it has been on my list for as long as I can remember. I do live close to where the Blue Ridge Parkway joins the Skyline Drive in Virginia though.
P. S. Your photo for Bob’s Challenge is gorgeous.
Thanks, I was right proud of it too. That’s Boo is an awesome photographer so I find myself stepping up my game to compete.
Ahh I love this photo 🙂
