Cinquain # 28: Wake-Up Call
Morning —
Bird songs ascend
Across the fragrant air.
Sunlight bounces off dew-kissed lawn.
Wake up.

A beautiful morning poem! I decided to try a cinquain as well today.
I saw yours come up in the Reader, and I hopped over and read it. It’s great! (Thanks for the link to my site, by the way.) What I’ve noticed about cinquain is that, for me, it has the same allure as word games — like scrabble or bananagrams (which I love). There’s just something about the challenge of building complete thoughts while being tightly restricted in the use of syllables. I think I may be addicted — so be careful.
A very special one today, I don’t know how you could top it for tomorrow’s final one. I like the comparison you make to word games.
