My Christmas Wreath. The Lights blurred, but that didn’t make it any less pretty. (In my humble opinion — but then I LOVE Christmas!)

Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects
My home church has so many gifted and talented people, and for several years, the children’s ministry team have created, written, scored music for, and produced their own Vacation Bible School curricula. The “two subjects” of this photo are two of the characters in one of those series of curricula, called Keys to the Kingdom. Featured are Cindy the “Coo-Coo” Bird and Harry the Gorilla.
I confess I posted this same photo on my “Hangin’ Out With God” site as well. I did not mean to cheat, but it was such a fun picture that I hated not to share it both places.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Arranged # 2
My church has a small room designated as a prayer chapel, where people can go specifically to pray during the week and on Sundays, before and during the services. This group of crosses was carefully chosen and “arranged” across one wall of the chapel to help those who enter the room focus on Jesus Christ and the power of His complete salvation.

The cookies “arranged” on this plate are from a generations-old recipe in my father’s family. They are called Hungarian cookies (even though his family is Bulgarian/Russian). These cookies, filled with hickory nut goodies (pecans if hickory nuts are not available), are one of my favorite treats in the whole world. My dad is the only one left in the family who makes the cookies, and this batch was made especially for me on my birthday. MmmmMmmmMmmm!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Through
This week I’m sharing a photo that was taken by a good friend of mine who is a professional photographer. Terry Valley lives in Wisconsin, and most of his work features various aspects of God’s beautiful creation as seen in that area. This photo is one of my favorites of his and is used with several others in a line of greeting cards called the “God’s Green Earth Collection.” It was taken in the very early morning, and I thought it was a good example of seeing “through” the stand of trees to that beautiful white horse in the field beyond.
Anyone interested in seeing more of Terry’s work or contacting him about it
is welcome to send me a comment requesting more information.

Weeky Photo Challenge: Indulge
I cannot take credit for snapping this picture, because I am in it. I am the ‘guzzler’ on the right. My cousin and I were aged one (me) and two, and our families often spent time together. Our dads were definitely not heavy drinkers, but they did enjoy a bottle of beer or a glass of wine occasionally. This photo was taken just after they had each finished off a bottle of beer, and handed the empty bottles to us to play with for the picture. Never one to let an opportunity for new experiences pass me by, I indulged myself.
