Chicken

Public domain image from www.public-domain-image.com
I want to be a wild thing,
But I don’t think I know how.
I want to be a wild thing —
Maybe just not right now.

I want to be a wild thing,
And my reputation blow;
I want to be a wild thing,
But I’m such a timid soul.

I want to be a wild thing,
To throw caution to the wind;
I want to be a wild thing,
Want to shock all of my friends.

I want to be a wild thing,
In wild living take my part,
But I can’t fly like wild things
‘Cause I’m chicken in my heart.

I want to be a wild thing,
But this longing’s bound so tight.
The wildest thing I’ll do is
Claim this poem’s copyright.

(Okay, I know this is a repeat of a poem written a couple years ago, but it just caught my attention again today, so I decided to enjoy it again. Hope you do too.)

    1. Well, of course, no one knows how loooooong I have to think about new things before I try them. I did try something totally different for the blog, though. I figured if I’m going to have to change my blogging technique anyway, might as well just go for broke — so to speak. After I changed all of it, I got a note from a totally different tech guy who said he was able to work out a way to let me change the header color on my sandraconner blog for a certain period of time. I told him I had already changed themes, and that the problem was not just with that blog, but with all four, and I naturally don’t expect him to work out a new plan for all four. Besides, my whole point to them was that it doesn’t need to be done just for me — but for all the bloggers out there. But he said he also agreed with me (as most of the techs do), and he was looking into the situation that had resulted from this unexpected change. So maybe some good will come of it for everybody.

      Thanks for taking the time to hunt for the “Like” button.

Hey, don't you dare go away without leaving me a note!
