    1. Thanks for that link. It was really interesting. And I’d say, yes, Starlings are also “birds of the Bible.” I remember the first time I ever noticed that activity. It was about 4 years ago, and I wrote and asked you about it. You told me what it was called and that it was fairly common activity for Starlings. I’ve felt very smug in my knowledge and understanding every time I’ve seen it since.

  1. Finally a post to the daily prompt that actually makes sense for the word murmuration. The other posts must be written by people without access to a dictionary. Brilliant video.

    1. I haven’t had any time yet to read any of the other responses, so I don’t know what they offered. And, of course, the word can also mean a continued muttering or repeating of words, so maybe some were trying for that definition. But it seems so boring, and I like the definition as it applies to Starlings much better. These girls did an excellent job with their video. I’m glad you enjoyed as well.
