Daily Post Prompt: Minimal, you say?

`

MOUNTAIN CLIMBER edited for blog

Minimal, you say.
Is that like – just enough?
Does that mean there’s no need to go
Beyond the basic stuff?

Minimal, you say.
Do barely what’s required?
Exactly what I saw in print
The day that I was hired?

I see thing differently.
To me the minimalists
Are shirkers, slackers, slothful souls.
Who live just to exist.

To live a life worthwhile
Requires a finer sense.
One must in all endeavors strive
To offer excellence.

*If we make a habit of doing only the minimal that is required of us, we end up living a minimal life.*

  1. Great thoughts. Yes, Christ expects us to do our best, not just the minimal. Our best should be much more than minimal. [aproflee is leesbird.com in disquise]

      1. Not accurately. Some people use it that way. But the basic definition is “one who takes a moderate or very basic approach to achieving goals” — exerting nothing extra.

      1. Adjunct Professor Lee, if you please. πŸ™‚ That’s the title they gave me and my practice WordPress blog needed a new name. Wah, Lah! AProfLee. πŸ™‚

Hey, don't you dare go away without leaving me a note!
