    1. It’s amazing how many different colors of white there are, isn’t it? It reminds me of a time when I was still a child, and my dad and uncle were sent to a store to buy come white crepe paper for a baby shower that was being given for that uncle’s wife. He and my dad were always joking around and having fun, playing jokes on people.

This was back in the day when there was a clerk behind the counter to help customers at all times, and they went in and told her they needed write crepe paper. She brought out a roll, and my dad looked at my uncle and said, “Well, I don’t know, Don. Nora said she wanted DARK white, didn’t she?” My uncle caught on immediately and replied. “Oh, yeah. You’re right.” He looked at the clerk and said. “I’m sorry, we need DARK white. Don’t you have any?”

The poor clerk was shocked. She said, “I never head of DARK white, but I’ll go back in the store room and look.” She was gone for quite a while and finally came back with another roll. Dad said something about that roll also being LIGHT white, and he didn’t think they could use it. The poor girl was beside herself and looked again, but couldn’t find any sign of DARK white crepe paper. After they had caused her no end of worry, they said “Well, we’ll go ahead and take this roll, but if it isn’t dark enough, we’ll have to bring it back.” The clerk agreed, they left, and laughed about it the whole rest of the day and for years afterward.

That was really naughty of them, but I have to admit that when I posted these photos and saw all the different shades of white, I had to laugh remembering that incident.

  1. I think we were having similar brainwaves when we posted our photos for this challenge! Only difference? I only mentioned the snow instead of sharing a photograph of it! Love your gorgeous photos!

      1. It’s a gorgeous photo! I just thought it was funny that I posted a photo of azaleas and another of cherry blossoms, too. I almost posted snow as my third, but decided against it at the last moment.

Hey, don't you dare go away without leaving me a note!
